CALL FOR VENDORS/EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
INTRODUCTION:
The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE)is a pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation founded in 1992 by five women ministers of education to promote girls’ and women’s education in sub-Saharan Africa in line with the Education for All initiative. FAWE was established in Nigeria in 1996 with the assistance of Chief (Mrs.) Iyabo Anisulowo, who was then the Minister of State for Education. It was auspicious that she was the Minister at the time, when FAWE was being established across Africa, and she used her office to ensure it took root in Nigeria. The Forum has since been established in many states of the federation. FAWE works to improve access to education, as well as its quality, inspiring girls to stay in school and perform well. FAWE’s work is to encourage governments, international organisations and local communities to enact policies and provide positive learning environments that treat girls and boys equally.
