Business Operations and Finance Advisor

  • Zenilum Company Limited (ZNL) is a reputable Nigerian Indigenous Oil Service company focused on exploration and production support activities, as well as operations and maintenance services. 
  • We seek a motivated, proactive and detail-oriented Business Operations and Finance Advisor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company’s business by accurately recording transactions, assisting in reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial data and records in audit and compliance with regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely reporting, audit, compliance and operational transparency across departments.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field
  • Professional certification in Accounting (ICAN, ACCA etc.) 

Work Experience and Competencies: 

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in any Accounting or Finance role
  • Demonstrated, advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Accounting software
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to details
  • Strong bookkeeping, research and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity and be able to maintain confidentiality and be comfortable engaging senior management and external stakeholders
  • The preferred candidate must be able to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced environment and in a team setting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Includes but not limited to the following:
  • Preparation of periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual)
  • Maintenance of accounts payable and receivable
  • Engagement of clients on transactions and invoices
  • Collaboration with the administrative, operations and procurement teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of purchases
  • Maintenance and reporting of accurate financial data and records
  • Overseeing the company’s tax payments and other financial obligations
  • Conducting audits and maintaining proper documentation for all transactions in line with local/international audit standards
  • Ensuring compliance with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial policies, practices and regulations
  • Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts
  • Providing direct support to the CEO and other departments as requested
