Business Information Security Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the local business units’ information security technologies, systems, processes, data, technology, partners, joint ventures, alliances, and customers.
- Be the point of contact for information security at the Line of Business Unit
- Drive the implementation of the group cyber security initiatives across the Line of Business Unit
- Ensure implernentation of the Group Information security and Privacy (GISP) policies at the line of business units
- Ensure Cyber hygiene at the business unit in line with the requirements put in place by GISP such as vulnerability management, endpoint security, Cyber resilience etc.
- Drive security avwreness program at the business unit.
- Assess local business policies, procedures, and operations to ensure the business unit meets privacy local law requirements.
- Provide support to the BISO Africa as necessary.
Core Competencies and qualifications Required:
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, with IT audit or compliance experience or related qualification.
- At least 5+ years’ experience Information Technology risk and compliance management.
- At least one industry certification (e.g., CISA CISM, CRISC CISSP, ITIL) highly desired.
- Act as a key participant in incident response to track occurrence and resolution, with strict documentation and reporting.
- Ability to maintain security documentation and manuals
- Knowledge in planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
