Overview
A reputable school strategically located in the heart of the city is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to support its growth and sustainability efforts. Due to limited resources, this position will be commission-based and performed remotely. This is a remote, commission-based role, offering flexible working conditions. The Business Development Manager will not be on a monthly salary; instead, earnings will be tied directly to the businesses and opportunities successfully secured.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
- Student Enrolment Growth: Drive enrolment across all classes, with emphasis on the crèche and playgroup, which admit students year-round.
- Facility Leasing & Rentals:
- Promote classrooms as suitable venues for professional bodies, training institutes, and examination centers during evenings and weekends.
- Market and secure rental of the school’s halls and field for weddings, conferences, workshops, religious gatherings, and social events.
- Expand use of the school’s open spaces for children-focused events such as fairs, camps, holiday programmes, and sports activities.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish collaborations with event planners, training providers, community organizations, and corporate bodies to maximize facility usage.
- Corporate & Community Engagement: Develop proposals and outreach strategies to attract sponsorships, partnerships, and community-based initiatives that align with the school’s values.
- Innovation in Revenue Generation: Explore and implement creative business models such as:
- Hosting after-school programmes, holiday camps, or weekend skill-development classes.
- Leasing facilities for music, art, and dance studios or fitness/wellness programmes.
- Engaging food vendors and concessionaires to use designated spaces within the school.
- Creating collaborative opportunities with NGOs or government bodies for educational and child-focused projects.
- Business Research & Reporting: Continuously identify new income-generating opportunities, monitor trends, and provide periodic performance reports.
Requirements
- Proven track record in business development, marketing, or sales.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and convert opportunities into tangible results.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver measurable outcomes with minimal supervision.
Compensation
- This is not a salaried position.
