Business Development Specialist

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and expanding WhooshNG’s presence across the logistics and delivery ecosystem.
  • This role involves prospecting, developing strategic partnerships, converting leads, and managing client relationships to support the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities across SMEs, ecommerce platforms, corporate clients, and retail businesses.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, trends, and competitor activities.
  • Generate high-quality leads through field marketing, online outreach, networking, and referrals.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Convert prospects into paying clients by effectively presenting WhooshNG’s logistics services.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as assigned.
  • Develop tailored proposals and negotiate service agreements.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and communication.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional WhooshNG services where relevant.

Partnerships & Expansion:

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships that drive market visibility and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with ecommerce platforms, distributors, retailers, and corporate organizations.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare weekly reports on lead generation, conversions, pipeline status, and market feedback.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Provide market insights to support product development and service improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management (preferably in logistics, ecommerce, or tech).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet revenue targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
