Business Development Manager (POS Acquiring)
The Business Development Manager (POS Acquiring) is responsible for driving the growth of the company’s Point-of-Sale (POS) acquiring business by identifying, developing, and managing merchant relationships. The role involves sourcing new merchants, negotiating partnerships, and ensuring effective deployment and utilization of POS terminals. The BDM will analyze market trends, design acquisition strategies, and work closely with internal teams to deliver superior merchant experiences, increase transaction volumes, and maximize profitability. The position requires strong business acumen, relationship management, and an in-depth understanding of the payments and financial technology ecosystem.
Job Details
- Develop and implement growth opportunities for Arca Payments’ POS acquiring business.
- Devise strategies to deepen product penetration and increase Arca’s market share in the industry
- Coordinate, manage, and support the sales and account management structure with the sales network, including technical support, advisory services, and lead conversion strategies to increase Arca’s revenue.
- Grow existing market share and penetrate new markets/segments through value offerings to key high-value and high-volume merchants.
- Collaborate with product, project, developers, and other internal resources to increase Arca’s market share.
- Develop comprehensive business documentation for market and merchant engagements as required by internal stakeholders.
- Acquire strategic partnerships that enable access to relevant market and merchant clusters, contributing to short-term and long-term business value.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the payment ecosystem to understand payment landscape needs and mitigate business risks.
- Ensure service excellence to acquired merchants and partners by engaging with service and operations management teams.
- Identify, research, develop, implement, deploy, and manage new business initiatives across all market types to optimize channel usage and business value.
Requirements
- First Degree/MBA (preferably in a business discipline).
- 4-7 years’ experience in the digital financial industry.
- Experience managing bank relationships
- In-depth understanding of acquiring business.
- Portfolio management skills.
- Business development and management experience.
