Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

  • The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Weekly

  • Meet potential clients and update the Executive management office weekly.
  • Prospect by making presentations to potential customers about the various benefits offered by ITEX
  • Review and update on projects execution status with the technical Team
  • Escalate when necessary to meet deadline
  • Generate performance report to the senior management team.
  • Establish a knowledge storehouse of clients, referrals, presentations, and prospects
  • Participate in forums related to the industry, conferences and client discussions
  • Respond in a timely fashion to queries and complaints from clients as regards the company’s products. Not more than 3 hours of receipt.
  • Perform any other duties as may be legitimately assigned to you from time to time

Monthly

  • Pull and report on product penetration, profitability and performance with respective action plan for continuous growth and improvement.

Quarterly

  • Review competitive products and competitors’ performance, entrants, threats and opportunities
  • Audit/Control/ISO compliance assessment and re-alignment
  • Carry out quarterly review on how well we have done and re-strategies if need be.

Annually

  • Overview of competitive landscape and ranking against competitor within the space
  • Profitability performance by each income line
  • Growth strategy, SWOT
  • Review overall performance and come up with a plan/strategy for the coming year.

Requirement

Market Intelligence

  • Collate market intelligence and drive product capability improvements sales, market penetration and growth.
  • Standardize proposals, pricing, acquisition, performance reporting for ratification and adoption.

Innovation

  • Follow new payment innovations and translate them to new business opportunities.
  • Continuously drive uniformity in service standard and be cautious of regulatory infringements.

Profitability

  • Manage products profitability by optimizing subscription and usage
  • Monitor and report performance of products weekly for business decisions and review.
  • Track monthly business financial contribution per product segment.
  • Track product penetration and profitability.

Alliance Management

  • Manage alliances with vendors and third-parties to drive market penetration, product improvement and innovation at minimal cost
  • Support growth and productivity initiatives from the sales and technical team.

Training and Tooling

  • Organize customer forums and leverage conferences to grow our market share.
  • Address all Audit and control identified exceptions
  • Comply with Quality Management (ISO) guideline and documentation requirements

Qualifications:

  • BSC in any discipline
  • MBA will be an added advantage

Knowledge

  • Thorough understanding of market analysis and business intelligence
  • Similar experience working in the bank or FINTCH sector mandatory
