Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated and intelligent Business Development Manager with strong initiative, creativity, and hunger for success.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth for the company’s pharmaceutical products both locally and internationally.
- This Individual must be results-oriented, strategic in thinking, and capable of building long-term relationships with distributors, healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth targets in the Nigerian Pharmaceutical market.
- Identify, evaluate and secure new business opportunites, partnerships, and distribution networks.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging product opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with hospitals, pharmacies government institutions, and medical representatives.
- Lead negotiations with partners, agents and distributors to secure profitable agreements.
- Collaborate with the marketin and regulatory teams to support product registration, launches and promotional campaigns.
- Prepare and present business proposals, market reports, and performance analyses to management.
- Monitor and evaluate business performance, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and sales forecasts.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and trade fairs.
- Continuously assess risks, challenges, and opportunities in the dynamic pharmaceutical landscape.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, or business development.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian pharmaceutical market, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated success in identifying new business opportunities and growing market share.
