Job Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) for High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) is responsible for driving the growth and expansion of the bank’s client base by acquiring and managing relationships with wealthy individuals. The BDM will use a consultative approach to offer tailored financial products and services that meet the needs of these high-profile clients, while building long- term relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify, target, and approach high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) through networking, referrals, and prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current andprospective clients.
- Understand the financial goals and needs of clients, developing personalized strategies for wealth management and investment.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Drive revenue generation through new client acquisition and retention of existing clients.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the firm’s high-net-worth client portfolio.
- Promote and sell a range of financial services and products, such as fixed deposits, private banking, investment management.
Market Research and Intelligence:
- Stay informed of market trends, competitor offerings, and economic factors that could impact HNWI clients.
- Conduct thorough research on potential clients, understanding their backgrounds and business interests to craft compelling businesspropositions.
Client Events and Networking:
- Organize and participate in exclusive events, seminars, and networking functions to build the firm’s reputation and connect with potential HNWIs.
- Leverage existing relationships and industry contacts to source leads and opportunities.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and activities.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales progress, client feedback, and market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, specifically with high-net-worth individuals.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, wealth management, andinvestment strategies.
- Strong understanding of the HNWI market and a network of potential clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and manage risks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
