This role is hands-on and highly versatile, requiring someone who can think critically, execute efficiently, and help scale a high-impact business.As a Business Associate, you will take ownership of high-priority workstreams, ensuring that Forti Food operates efficiently while building key partnerships and securing funding. You will work directly with institutional buyers, government agencies, and global development organisations, contributing to Forti Food’s mission of delivering nutritionally fortified meals to vulnerable populations.Who are we searching for?You can anticipate challenges, streamline workflows, and ensure follow-through on leadership priorities.You have the ability to manage multiple workstreams, ensuring execution aligns with business priorities.You can break down complex challenges into actionable strategies and solutions.You can present ideas persuasively, prepare compelling materials, and engage with institutional partners.You have a good grasp of financial modeling, budgeting, and business analysis.You take initiative, drive solutions, and make things happen.You thrive in high-pressure environments, collaborating across disciplines to drive results.Your responsibilities…Own and drive high-impact projects, ensuring strategic priorities are executed effectively.Support business development efforts, preparing funding proposals, market research, and institutional buyer presentations.Conduct financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analysis to support leadership decision-making.Develop compelling pitch decks, reports, and business presentations for stakeholders, donors, and investors.Manage cross-functional workstreams, ensuring smooth coordination between operations, sales, finance, and leadership.Optimise internal processes, identifying ways to improve efficiency, execution, and team productivity.Engage with institutional partners and funding agencies, assisting in proposal writing, grant applications, and partnership negotiations.Research and analyse industry trends, funding opportunities, and competitor insights, providing leadership with actionable recommendations.Ensure the leadership team stays informed and aligned, tracking key deliverables and follow-ups.Take initiative on special projects and critical problem-solving tasks, acting as a key execution partner to the CEO.Oversee project timelines and deliverables, ensuring execution aligns with company priorities and strategic goals.To be considered, you should have…3-5 years of experience in business consulting, operations, finance, project management, or a related role.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance analysis (proficiency in Excel is a plus).Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with institutional partners and stakeholders.Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a track record of executing multiple priorities successfully.A background in development, social impact, food security, or working with NGOs and institutional funders is a plus.Proficiency in business tools (Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, project management software).Ability to work in a high-paced, fast-scaling startup environment, handling ambiguity with confidence.Why this role matters…This is a critical role that will directly impact Forti Food’s ability to scale, secure partnerships, and execute on strategic initiatives.
