Branding and Marketing Lead
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and creative Branding & Marketing Lead to drive the brand positioning and marketing efforts of our education-focused institutions. This role goes beyond traditional marketing—it’s about building and sustaining a compelling brand presence that resonates locally and internationally, particularly within the competitive landscape of international education.
The Branding & Marketing Lead will be responsible for crafting and executing an institution-wide branding, communications, and marketing strategy aimed at enhancing visibility, increasing student enrollment, and strengthening stakeholder engagement across multiple cities and regions. This role will be deeply involved in defining the institutions’ presence on the global stage and setting the tone for how our schools are perceived across Nigeria and internationally. Initially starting as a solo-lead position, the successful candidate will work closely with heads of the various institutions and the Group CEO, laying the groundwork for building a high-performing marketing team as the strategy scales.
Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Development
- Develop and implement a unified brand strategy for the university, secondary school, and study abroad consultancy program
- Ensure consistency in brand identity, tone, and narrative across all campuses and media channels
- Refresh and elevate the visual and storytelling elements of the brand to reflect modernity and global relevance
- Monitor and manage public perception across various markets and audience segments Marketing Campaigns & Leadership
- Lead institution-wide campaigns including student recruitment, key events, and product/program launches
- Design regional campaigns that align with local contexts and expansion plans.
- Set clear performance targets and use analytics to iterate on campaign success Digital Media & Modern Marketing Tools
- Oversee the development of engaging content across websites, social media, newsletters, and video platforms
- Lead initiatives in SEO, paid media, influencer marketing, and performance-based advertising
- Implement digital-first storytelling formats and AI-driven marketing tools to increase audience reach and engagement Institutional & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely planning and strategy executives
- Serve as brand and communication advisor to leadership
- Lead media relations, public statements, and crisis communication as needed Team Building & Budget Management
- Build and manage an in-house marketing and content team including roles like social media manager, content strategist, designer, and video editor
- Manage external partnerships with agencies and creative professionals
- Oversee the marketing budget with a focus on ROI and long-term scalability
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in branding, marketing, or communications
- At least 3 years in a senior or leadership role
- Experience in education, international marketing, or digital transformation is a strong advantage Core Skills
