Assistant Human Resources Officer
Role Overview
The Assistant Human Resources Officer will serve as the company’s primary HR presence onsite at the Factory. Working closely with the HR Operations Manager, you will support all day-to-day people operations, including employee engagement, recruitment coordination, vendor management, and community relations.
This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone who is people-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about workplace culture and employee wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters for factory staff.
- Support planning and implementation of staff engagement activities.
- Escalate staff issues and feedback to the HR Lead.
- Support onboarding of new staff and track attendance and punctuality.
Recruitment Coordination
- Assist with organizing interviews, assessments, and onboarding logistics.
- Conduct initial document checks and ensure all onboarding materials are complete.
- Provide orientation and basic HR information to new hires.
Vendor and Welfare Management
- Coordinate with welfare vendors (e.g., food suppliers, pharmacy, HMO providers).
- Ensure timely delivery and quality service from welfare vendors.
- Track daily vendor usage and assist in resolving issues on the ground.
Community and Local Relations
- Support community engagement efforts in collaboration with different teams.
- Flag potential community concerns early to the HR Lead.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate physical and digital HR records (attendance, memos, forms, etc.).
- Provide support during HR-led events, surveys, and trainings.
- Help enforce HR policies and raise awareness of policy updates among staff.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, Office Administration, or a similar people-facing role.
- BSc/HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and take direction from a remote supervisor.
- Basic proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Docs, WhatsApp, and email tools.
