Assistant General Manager – Sales and Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop long-term sales and market strategies, focusing on growth opportunities, expanding market presence, and aligning sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends and evolving customer needs, ensuring that these opportunities are effectively captured and converted into sales to drive revenue.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and assess trends to inform strategic decision-making and market positioning.
  • Manage and mentor the Sales team, ensuring they meet or exceed individual KPIs and performance targets.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Drive client acquisition effort, while ensuring a seamless onboarding process and supporting an exceptional customer experience that encourages long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the development of sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to guide business decision-making.
  • Provide detailed feedback to senior management on market trends, competitive positioning, and sales performance.
  • Initiate and drive business engagements across different sectors and high-value accounts

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a B.Sc. in Marketing or other related courses.
  • At least 10 years experience in Sales/Business Development.
  • Proven record of leading sales teams in a B2B environment, preferably within telecommunications, connectivity, or digital solutions space.
  • Exceptional presentation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and large-scale sales initiatives.
