About the job

• Operate the asphalt paver efficiently to lay uniform, smooth, and well-compacted asphalt layers in accordance with project specifications and approved method statements
• Operate the asphalt paver machine safely and efficiently.
• Control screed settings to achieve required thickness, width, camber, and level.
• Maintain uniform paving speed to avoid segregation and surface defects.
• Coordinate closely with plant dispatch, tipper drivers, and roller operators.
• Monitor asphalt temperature during paving and ensure timely compaction.
• Adjust augers, conveyors, and screed heaters as required.
• Ensure smooth joints (longitudinal and transverse) and edge alignment.
• Conduct pre-start checks and daily maintenance of the paver.
• Must handle preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Identify mechanical or hydraulic issues and report immediately.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and traffic management plans

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Educational Certificate with Heavy Equipment Operator certification will be preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience operating asphalt pavers (sensor-based / automatic level control systems preferred).
• Experience in highway and large-scale road projects.
• Excellent machine handling and control skills.
• Understanding of paving tolerances and quality standards.
• Ability to work under high-temperature and demanding site conditions.
