Area Sales Manager (Building Material, Construction)
Key Responsibilities
- Sales strategy and execution: Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and revenue, manage sales funnels, and set and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Team and client management: Lead, mentor, and train the sales team, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, contractors, builders, and suppliers.
- Market analysis: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, analyze competitor activities, and propose new product ideas or pricing strategies.
- Sales process management: Handle sales inquiries, prepare and submit quotations, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer satisfaction through quality supply and after-sales support.
- Technical and administrative support: Provide technical support on product applications, manage the order-to-cash process, and participate in budget and planning cycles.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field like Business, Sales, or Marketing is typically required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of sales experience in the building materials industry is often needed.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Soft skills: Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills are critical for success in this role.
