Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement area sales plans to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and supervise sales representatives within the assigned region.
  • Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Facilitate training and onboarding of new sales staff.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and key retailers.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the territory.

Distribution & Market Coverage

  • Ensure adequate product availability and visibility across all outlets.
  • Oversee route-to-market plans and optimize distribution efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, returns, and shelf-life compliance.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market intelligence, and team activities.
  • Track KPIs such as sales volume, revenue, outlet coverage, and collection efficiency.
  • Recommend improvements to boost productivity and market penetration
