Accounts Officer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to join our Finance & Outsourcing Team. The ideal candidate will support daily financial operations, manage payroll reconciliations, handle client billing and ensure accurate statutory payments for outsourced staff across multiple client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and post daily transactions.
- Support payroll processing for outsourced staff by validating additions, deductions and monthly changes.
- Prepare and issue monthly invoices to clients and track outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, payroll reports and vendor accounts.
- Process statutory payments (PAYE, Pension, NHF, NSITF, etc.).
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting audits.
- Work closely with the HR Outsourcing Team to resolve payroll and billing discrepancies.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2–4 years’ experience in accounting (experience in HR outsourcing/consulting is an added advantage).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian payroll and statutory deductions.
- Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliation).
- High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
