Chartered Accountant
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports for management review.
- Monitor financial performance and advise on improvement areas.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Track budget performance and highlight variances for management action.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Ensure proper documentation and classification of all transactions.
- Ensure tax compliance including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax filings.
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
- Implement and enforce financial policies, internal controls, and procedures
- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Monitor bank transactions, reconcile accounts, and manage relationships with financial institutions.
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and financial risks
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
