Inventory Officer
About the Role
- As an Inventory Officer at Medbury Pharmaceuticals, you will be responsible for managing the storage, movement, and documentation of pharmaceutical products and materials.
- This includes ensuring accurate stock levels, timely replenishment, and strict compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Your role supports the broader goal of ensuring seamless product availability for production, distribution, and retail while minimizing waste and losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all stock locations using inventory management software.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely reorders to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with accounting or production teams.
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming pharmaceutical goods and raw materials.
- Supervise proper storage of inventory according to standard pharmaceutical guidelines (e.g. cold chain, humidity control).
- Track batch numbers, expiry dates, and ensure proper rotation of stock (FEFO/ FIFO).
- Generate inventory usage, deadstock, and performance reports for supply chain analysis.
- Support audits and regulatory inspections by ensuring full compliance with NAFDAC, PCN, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with procurement, quality control, sales, and production departments to optimize supply chain processes.
- Recommend improvements to inventory control systems, warehouse layout, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proficiency with inventory software (e.g., ERP systems, Zoho Inventory, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical product handling and storage requirements.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate across departments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
