Job Summary
- The CEO will lead and manage the strategic direction and operational execution of the firm’s investment, business development, and organizational goals. As the public face and key decision-maker, the CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to deliver sustained growth, uphold regulatory compliance, and ensure superior client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute long-term business strategies to achieve the firm’s growth, profitability, and AUM (assets under management) targets.
- Identify new market opportunities, products, or acquisition targets in alignment with the firm’s investment philosophy.
- Foster a strong corporate culture based on performance, integrity, and client-centric values.
Investment Oversight
- Provide executive oversight of investment strategies, portfolio performance, and risk management policies.
- Collaborate with the CIO and investment committees to ensure alignment with client objectives and market conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, and industry innovations.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the firm’s chief ambassador to clients, investors, regulators, partners, and the media.
- Drive fundraising and investor relations efforts, including managing relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and HNW clients.
- Ensure exceptional client service and retention through innovation and responsiveness.
Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee P&L performance, budget planning, and operational efficiency.
- Lead, recruit, and retain a high-performing leadership team across departments (e.g., Investment, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Sales).
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and fiduciary responsibilities in domestic and international jurisdictions.
Governance & Risk
- Report regularly to the Board on strategic progress, risk exposures, and business performance.
- Ensure enterprise risk management frameworks are robust and enforced.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and governance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record as a CEO, Managing Director, or senior executive in asset/investment management.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or investment roles, with deep understanding of portfolio management and financial markets.
- Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience managing regulatory bodies (e.g., SEC, FCA) and operating in a fiduciary environment.
- SEC Sponsorship is an added Advantage.
