Business Development Specialist (Laboratory Equipment)
- Develop new customer relationships and maintain existing ones.
- Interface with other team members in order to achieve Customer’s Satisfaction as well as the Company’s targets for growth, revenue generation and profitability.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Generation of sales from new prospects, and achievement of agreed Sales Targets
- Generation of sales from existing Customers and achievement of agreed Sales Targets.
- Customer satisfaction and Customer relationship management.
- Timely preparation and submission of reports.
DUITIES & RESPONSIBILITY
- Develop specific marketing strategies to achieve set given goals and targets.
- Implement approved marketing strategies in conjunction with Business Development Manager in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Make Company and Product Presentation on various solutions the company offers to their businesses. Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and customers.
- Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners and managers, direct mail, email, and networking.
- Prepare Customer’s Sales documents; quotations, invoices, delivery notes and maintain same both electronically and physically filed copies.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, tenders, closed sales and follow-up activities within team’s assigned area of coverage.
- Delivery/Supervision of goods delivered to customer in good condition.
- Ensure Customer satisfaction and Customer relationship management.
- Timely escalation to Line Manager, issues that cannot be resolved.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Line Manager, from time to time, in the course of work and in furtherance of the Company’s strategic objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- Tertiary qualification (B.Sc. /B. Tech. /H.N.D.) in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology & Biochemistry, or Science Lab. Tech. (Minimum of a Second Class or an Upper Credit).
- 2-3 years’ cognate work experience as a Sales Personnel for Science & Lab. Equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTITUDE
- Good working knowledge of computers in general with proficiency in the Microsoft Office.
- Very good communication skills – written & verbal
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Good Negotiation Skills
- Ability and willingness to learn and apply new concepts quickly
- Proactive, creative and flexible.

- Good Team Player
