Senior Procurement Officer
Job Responsibilities
- Lead procurement processes from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchases.
- Analyze procurement needs and develop purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Manage supplier performance, contracts, and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Understand and maintain knowledge of EPC construction services market, and develop and implement strategies to ensure cost effective supply of EPC services to meet the project plan
- Develop procurement plans to ensure goods and services are secure at appropriate times. Work closely with Pre-Construction & Development functions in developing these plans
- Monitor market trends and conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for savings.
- Prepare procurement reports, KPIs, and documentation for audits and management reviews.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
- Thorough knowledge of competitive bid process of BoP, EPC contracts and negotiation techniques
- Experience in drafting, negotiating and contract management of high value and high-risk ++
- major construction project contracts
- Knowledge (suppliers, markets, trends) of the renewable energy industry
- Experience in applying efficient procurement processes, structures and analytical tools
- Highly developed analytical and communication skills, combined with a structured work style and a pragmatic hands-on approach
- Team player with strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Familiarity with contract law and risk management practices is a plus.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an advantage.
