Assurance Audit Supervisor
Job Summary:
- The Assurance Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality audit services to clients. This role involves supervising audit teams, reviewing work papers, and providing guidance to junior staff while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning and Execution:
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Develop audit plans and risk assessments based on client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with established standards and methodologies.
Team Supervision:
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Review work papers and ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business and industry.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with internal quality control standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients and management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in auditing and assurance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the audit function.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and programs for staff development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in audit and assurance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
