Business Development Executive

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target designated and specialized companies that align with the publication’s audience and objectives.
  • Research industry trends, competitors, and potential advertisers to build a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Leverage networking events, trade shows, and online platforms to generate leads.
  • Pitch advertising opportunities to potential clients, highlighting the value and reach of the print publication.
  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to meet the unique needs of each prospective advertiser.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Negotiate advertising rates, packages, and contract terms to maximize revenue while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Close deals efficiently to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Work closely with the marketing, editorial, and design teams to ensure advertising content aligns with the publication’s quality standards and vision.
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of advertising materials and adherence to deadlines.
  • Track and report on sales progress, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to management.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide insights to clients to demonstrate the value of their investment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or advertising, preferably in print media or publishing.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and securing advertising contracts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating proposals and presentations.
  • Familiarity with the print media and advertising industry is preferred.
