Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development and sales of solar energy solutions, specifically targeting the oil and gas industry.
- This role requires strong technical acumen, a solid understanding of renewable energy systems, and proven B2B sales skills.
- The candidate must be capable of identifying client needs, proposing tailored solutions, and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector for solar energy solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
- Conduct client needs assessments and present customized solar energy proposals, aligning with technical and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to ensure the proposed solutions meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and quotes.
- Monitor industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor activities to position the company’s offerings competitively.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and performance KPIs.
- Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client communications using CRM tools.
Requirements
- B.Sc in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in renewable energy or technical solutions for oil and gas.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Solid knowledge of solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, and energy storage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and explain solutions to non-technical clients.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Existing network within the oil and gas sector is a strong advantage.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
