JOB SUMMARY
- We are looking for an experienced content and marketing Manager who will work collaboratively across the business function and with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, oversee and implement content marketing and consumer communications strategies and deliver profile-raising campaigns while leading a marketing team.
- This role will drive awareness, interest, and excitement for our mission, services, projects and products through proactive communications, content and events efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content and Communication Strategy: develop the consumer-oriented, lifestyle media and content strategy to deliver omnichannel communications campaigns which address key business, consumer segment and brand needs.
- Content Creation and Deployment: own and lead the deployment of consumer-facing content and communications campaigns to maximize reach and improve ROI.
- Content Calendar: collaborate with the brand team to create a content and communications calendar that is aligned to the annual brand calendar
- Secures Opportunities: Identifies, partners with/curate unique opportunities and events to profile our clients’/partners’ products in an experiential way to generate exposure for Innov8.
- Media Engagement: cultivate, oversee and expand relationships with consumer-facing media to achieve brand profiling and desired positioning.
- Media Plan Deployment: prepare media plans and draft stories/narrative/press releases to address communication priorities and achieve desired brand positioning. This includes planning, buying and deployment of media amplification.
- Digital communications: Work and liaise closely with internal teams to ensure correct news and regular content updates.
- Utilize the website as a key communication tool to support content marketing. Utilize SEO, amplification and programmatic, within regulatory parameters, to improve website traffic generation leading to improved awareness and understanding of metrics and website lead generation.
- Reporting: Record and analyze data to track progress against key metrics and prepare relevant reports.
- Budget Management: Manage the content marketing and communications budget to deliver the business KPIs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Degree or equivalent in Brand Marketing, Communications or relevant study.
- Experience in Brand / Digital / Content Marketing, Communications / PR, Account management/ Program Management at an agency or in a corporate setting
- In-depth experience in managing brands and executing communications campaigns across different channels.
- Familiar with B2B and B2C marketing.
- Skilled in writing campaign plans for short- and medium-range programs to engage journalists, bloggers and broadcast media in co-creation of stories with solid experience of creative storytelling, developing, pitching and securing stories.
- Familiar with harnessing traditional and social media outlets to promote consumer messages for products and brands.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with external agencies to build strong working relationships and manage/deliver communications campaigns.
- Proficiency in English with superior written and oral communication skills.
- 5 years of experience as a manager in Content Production or Marketing Communications.
- Excellent storytelling and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of CRM software and social media monitoring tools.

JOB SUMMARY
- The Ventures Manager is responsible for providing hands-on mentorship, training, and strategic support to program beneficiaries, ensuring they successfully navigate the journey from ideation to venture creation.
- The role focuses on entrepreneurial development, business registration, mentorship facilitation, and stakeholder engagement, aligning with Innov8 Hub’s mission of fostering innovation and sustainable business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Mentorship & Program Beneficiary Support
- Provide close mentorship and hands-on guidance to program beneficiaries, supporting them through the various stages of venture creation.
- Assist startups and entrepreneurs in developing viable business models, refining their value propositions, and preparing for market entry.
- Track and evaluate beneficiary progress, providing recommendations to enhance their growth trajectory.
Training & Capacity Building
- Design and facilitate entrepreneurship training sessions, workshops, and business development seminars.
- Deliver training sessions to enhance program beneficiaries’ knowledge of business fundamentals, financial literacy, and investment readiness.
- Support beneficiaries in business registration processes, ensuring legal compliance and formalization.
Mentorship Ecosystem Development
- Strengthen the mentorship ecosystem by identifying, engaging, and coordinating industry experts, mentors, and advisors who can provide specialized guidance to program participants.
- Establish a structured mentorship framework that connects beneficiaries with relevant industry professionals.
- Organize mentorship sessions, office hours, and networking events to facilitate industry linkages.
Industry & Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders, including investors, accelerators, incubators, and government agencies.
- Leverage stakeholder relationships to create experiential learning opportunities for program beneficiaries.
- Represent Innov8 Hub in ecosystem-building activities, such as pitch events, innovation summits, and panel discussions.
Market Research & Business Growth Support
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to provide insights that support the business development needs of program beneficiaries.
- Identify trends, emerging sectors, and opportunities that align with the growth objectives of program participants.
- Develop and recommend strategies for scaling startups, including funding opportunities, market entry plans, and partnership development.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with the Head of Programs & Ventures to establish performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to assess program impact.
- Provide regular reports on startup progress, challenges, and key interventions, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Continuously refine entrepreneurial support frameworks to enhance program effectiveness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Innovation Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in venture building, startup development, entrepreneurship support, or business consulting.
- Experience working with incubators, accelerators, innovation hubs, or venture capital firms is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in mentorship, training facilitation, and business growth advisory.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong mentorship and coaching skills with the ability to guide early-stage entrepreneurs.
- Excellent business acumen, including knowledge of business modeling, financial planning, and investment readiness.
- Networking and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to connect with industry leaders, investors, and policymakers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & REPORTING STRUCTURE
- The Ventures Manager reports directly to the Head of Programs & Ventures.
- Works closely with program beneficiaries, mentors, industry stakeholders, and internal program teams.
- May be required to travel for networking events, stakeholder meetings, and startup support
- initiatives.
