Job Summary

• As a Scrap Recycling Supervisor, you will oversee the sorting and inspection of aluminium scrap in the recycling yard. You will lead a team to enforce strict quality standards, prevent malpractice, and protect the company from losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily scrap recycling and sorting operations.
• Inspect incoming scrap loads to detect and remove rejects (iron, contaminants, etc.).
• Monitor weighbridge activity to ensure rejects are not passed off as usable scrap.
• Lead, train, and discipline sorting staff to follow proper recycling procedures.
• Keep accurate records of accepted and rejected scrap.
• Report irregularities or suspected malpractice to management immediately.
• Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards in the scrap yard.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND in any discipline.
• At least 2 years’ supervisory or factory experience (manufacturing, recycling, or FMCG preferred).
• High integrity and zero tolerance for dishonesty.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies in materials.
• Good leadership, record-keeping, and reporting skills.
