Site Engineer
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomes
- Any other responsibility that may be assigned by your line manager.
- Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
- Preparing cost estimates and ensuringappropriate materials and tools are available.
- Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement onparticular projects.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment asrequired.
- Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
- Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
- Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
- Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
- Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
- Compile and present reports explaining project details to non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Direct engineering activities; assign tasks, provide training and support.
- Create work schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Construction, Building, or a related field with 4 – 7 years of experience in either an engineering consultancy or engineering construction environment.
- Engineering license Is an added advantage
- Proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software
- Considerable experience in similar position
