Job Summary
- We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer with proven experience in the supermarket or retail sector.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding customer base, improving sales strategies, and identifying new business opportunities within the supermarket operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, foot traffic, and overall profitability.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends within the retail/supermarket space.
- Monitor competitors’ activities and recommend strategic improvements.
- Work closely with store management to optimize product positioning, pricing, and promotions.
- Analyze sales performance and prepare regular reports with actionable insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key customers.
Requirements
- HND / BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of supermarket operations, sales cycles, and customer behavior.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and growth targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into business strategies.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented.
