About the job

  • The Batching Plant Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the batching plant, ensuring efficient production of high-quality concrete in line with project specifications. The role involves coordinating material supply, supervising plant personnel, maintaining equipment functionality, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor all batching plant activities across our sites to ensure continuous and efficient concrete production.
  • Ensure correct concrete mix designs are batched according to project requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage batching schedules to meet site demands and minimize production delays.
  • Ensure adherence to all QC/QA procedures for concrete batching and delivery.
  • Work with the QA/QC Engineers to resolve batching inconsistencies or material issues.
  • Conduct regular checks on raw materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures, water) to ensure quality.
  • Monitor stock levels of raw materials and coordinate timely procurement to avoid shortages.
  • Track material consumption and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Verify supplier deliveries and ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Oversee regular maintenance of batching plant equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Ensure plant facilities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Report equipment faults promptly and follow up on repairs.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of daily production, material usage, plant downtime, and dispatch logs.
  • Prepare weekly operational reports for management.
  • Ensure proper documentation for plant calibration and maintenance schedules.
  • Assign tasks to batching plant supervisors and monitor performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (highly preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in concrete production, batching plant operations, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete mix design, batching procedures, and material properties.
  • Proficiency in plant production tracking tools.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
