Field Sales and Marketing Associate

Role Overview

  • We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Field Sales & Marketing Associate to be our “foot on the ground” in Nigeria. This person will lead product outreach, engage directly with schools, food vendors, supermarkets, and last-mile retail channels (small kiosks, roadside sellers, and mobile hawkers), and serve as the key driver of early sales growth. They will also gather market intelligence and provide daily feedback to management to help refine strategy. This is a hands-on role that requires energy, creativity, persistence, and a true belief in the product’s potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively visit schools, food vendors, and other informal micro distributors to pitch and sell Garri Delight
  • Market and sell the company’s products to potential customers
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to create awareness and generate excitement
  • Identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, school administrators, and distribution partners
  • Identify and pursue new sales leads, arranging meetings and follow-ups
  • Gather and report daily feedback on customer reactions, competitor activity, and sales channel performance
  • Share insights and recommendations on pricing, promotions, and packaging improvements
  • Track and analyze sales activity, providing weekly progress reports
  • Act as an on-the-ground brand ambassador, ensuring Garri Delight is represented professionally and positively

Qualifications

  • OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in FMCG sales, field marketing, or brand activation
  • Proven ability to drive sales in a fast-moving consumer goods environment
  • Existing network with vendors and distributors in FMCG industry which can be leveraged
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good quantitative skills, and ability to process raw data.
  • Street-smart, adaptable, and resourceful, with a strong local network
  • Comfortable working independently, with high accountability
  • Passionate about building a brand and eager to grow with the business
