We are a leading Telecommunications Distribution company specializing in Mobile Phones, Accessories, Electricals, Electronics, and Solar products with a vast market presence in Nigeria and some West African Countries. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Business Manager to oversee and manage our company’s Sales operations and drive its growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success in Sales management from a reputable company or FMCG background.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Developing Growth Strategies: Advising on and implementing long and short-term growth strategies to enhance market position and profitability.
- Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Leading marketing initiatives, such as creating marketing materials and introducing new products to the market.
- Market Entry & Expansion: Leading initiatives for market entry and geographical expansion, including building go-to-market strategies tailored to specific regional or demographic needs.
- Negotiation and Contracts: Negotiating commercial terms, drafting proposals, and managing contracts with clients, partners, and vendors.
SALES AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Driving Sales Performance: Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to meet and surpass targets, often involving sales forecasting and analysis.
- Crafting and implementing sales strategies, managing sales teams, and coordinating with other departments to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Client and Partner Relations: Building and maintaining strong, sustainable relationships with key clients, corporate entities, partners, and government agencies.
- Product Launch: Leading the introduction of new products or services to the market and sales force.
- Channel Management: Coordinating with various sales channels/branches and ensuring a seamless supply chain in a fast-paced environment.
BUSINESS OPERATIONS
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaising with internal teams such as marketing, finance, logistics, product, and support to ensure smooth business operations and alignment with overall objectives.
- Leadership and Team Motivation: Leading, mentoring, and motivating sales and operational teams to maximize their potential and performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Establishing clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), evaluating ongoing work, and providing constructive feedback.
- Resource and Financial Management: Cooperating with the Head of Finance to oversee budgets, manage expenses as they relate to Sales Operations, and ensure an orderly accounting system, often in collaboration with the finance department.
- Compliance: Ensuring all operations and new initiatives comply with relevant legal, regulatory and internal financial guidelines
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.Sc. in Business Administration or a related field; MBA.
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role, with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Experience in market analysis and strategic planning.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve targets.
