Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos for the position of Senior SME Loan Officer.
• The Senior SME Loan Officer will be responsible for assessing loan applications, performing credit analyses, and verifying client information and documentation.
• Key activities include structuring loan agreements, monitoring loan performance, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• The role also involves identifying potential clients and promoting financial products to meet the needs of SMEs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of loan assessment, credit risk analysis, and loan structuring.
• Proficiency in relationship management, client assessment, and customer service.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with financial regulations, loan compliance, and reporting standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in SME lending or financial services is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in basic financial modeling and loan management tools is a plus.
