Job Summary

• The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of monoblock and bottle packaging machines used for rinsing, filling, and capping operations.
• The role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and adherence to quality and safety standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on monoblock and bottle packaging machines (rinsing, filling, and capping units).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to minimize production interruptions.
• Conduct machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules and product specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings to ensure accurate fill volumes, proper sealing, and hygienic operations.
• Replace or repair worn-out mechanical components such as bearings, seals, valves, and conveyors.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and reports for all interventions.
• Collaborate with electrical and instrumentation technicians to resolve integrated system issues.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hygiene, and Safety standards.
• Participate in equipment upgrades, testing, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Recommend process improvements to increase machine efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications and Experience

• OND, Test Trade or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2–5 years hands-on experience in operating and maintaining monoblock and bottle packaging equipment (rinsing, filling, and capping).
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical drives, and conveyor systems.
• Familiarity with packaging line automation and basic PLC interface understanding (added advantage).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.
