Project Management Assistant

Job Summary

  • The Project Management Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of the Post Abortion Care (PAC) Project.
  • This role ensures effective project management, monitoring, data collection, stakeholder engagement, and administrative support to strengthen access to quality and comprehensive post abortion care service

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in planning, executing, and monitoring PAC project activities according to the work plan and budget.
  • Assist in organizing training, workshops, and community outreach activities related to post abortion care.
  • Coordinate logistics for field visits, stakeholder meetings, and project events.
  • Maintain updated documentation of project activities, reports, and correspondence.
  • Support collection, verification, and analysis of project data in coordination with M&E staff.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of field reports and financial documentation.
  • Contribute to documenting best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams, healthcare facilities, government agencies, and community partners.
  • Support advocacy and awareness activities related to reproductive health and post abortion care.
  • Assist in developing communication materials, presentations, and briefing notes.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Project Management, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Additional training in reproductive health, family planning, or maternal health is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in project management or program support, preferably in reproductive or maternal health projects.
  • Experience working with NGOs, health facilities, or international organizations is desirable.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded projects and reporting requirements is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of post abortion care and reproductive health services.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
