Housekeeper
Job Summary
- The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable living environment for expatriate residents. This role requires strong housekeeping skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensuring high living standards.
- The ideal candidate will also possess the ability to prepare simple Lebanese and Middle Eastern meals, which will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Cleaning Duties:
- Ensure all assigned rooms, living areas, and bathrooms are cleaned daily and maintained to high hygiene standards.
- Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing of all areas, including furniture, appliances, and fixtures.
- Change bed linens, wash and iron clothes, and ensure all wardrobe and storage areas are neatly arranged.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, ensuring all utensils and appliances are cleaned and properly stored after use.
- Handle laundry duties, including washing, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing and household fabrics.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damages, or necessary repairs to the Facility Manager promptly.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Prepare basic Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes such as hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, shawarma, grilled meats, and other light home-style meals as required.
- Plan and prepare simple, healthy meals according to residents’ preferences.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene, food safety, and proper storage of ingredients and perishables.
- Assist with grocery shopping and restocking household essentials as requested.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent; additional vocational training in hospitality or housekeeping is an advantage with 2-5 years experience..
- Proven experience as a housekeeper, domestic staff, or steward — preferably in expatriate homes, hotels, or serviced apartments.
- Ability to cook and serve Lebanese or Mediterranean-style dishes (highly desirable).
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning materials, tools, and modern housekeeping techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and integrity.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be physically fit and able to manage repetitive tasks.
