Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage laboratory operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain and enhance quality control protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Oversee testing of petroleum products, including lubricants, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training and mentorship to laboratory staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collate, interpret, and report laboratory results effectively, providing detailed findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Manage laboratory supplies, ensuring timely orders and stock maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the laboratory.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a petroleum laboratory, with specific focus on lubricant quality testing.
  • Proven leadership ability with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of laboratory safety procedures and hazardous material handling protocols.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a lubricant laboratory and blending plant.
  • In-depth knowledge of lubricant specifications, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., API, SAE, ISO, ASTM) and quality analysis methods.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
