Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons following the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum.
  • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and school improvement initiatives.
  • Support students with additional learning needs or extension opportunities.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment programmes as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other administrative tasks.
  • Uphold the school’s policies and ethos on discipline, safeguarding, and professional conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) (preferred).
  • Experience teaching at the IGCSE/secondary level (minimum 5 years desirable).
  • Familiarity with Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) specifications.
