SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- To supervise and control the rental operations (Power Systems equipment) on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for covering fleet management, repairs, overhauls, installations, breakdown and spares management. Responsible for working to KPI and budget standards; participate in the annual preparation of operation objectives, manpower plan and operating budget. Responsible for achieving the profit forecast. Expected to maximize profit and satisfy the customer’s needs through cost control and effective use of the available resources with a large focus on health and safety and process implementation.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
- Meet with all stakeholders and report regularly.
- Meeting and exceeding all H&S and process targets.
- Ensure all repairs are done in time.
- Follow up on Engineers/Technicians to ensure job completion without delay or complaint.
- Prepare dispatch schedules for Engineers/Technicians to Customer’s site and review completed jobs.
- Provide tools, equipment and information necessary in solving customer’s problems.
- Estimate cost of repairing and prepare quotations for major repair jobs on site.
- Check Engineers’ timecards, service reports and parts requisitions.
- Monitor work order to avoid delay in carrying out jobs.
- Prepare quarterly report on Engineer’s performance and calculate their bonuses accordingly.
- Ensure safety PIPs are completed on time and proper documentation provided to Service Manager justifying PIP’s not being completed at target date.
- Ensure accurate warranty documentation is prepared and provided within a week of work order completion to the Technical Office.
- Investigate customer complaints and provide solutions in a professional manner to Customer and MANTRAC satisfaction.
- Maintain technical competency requirement on all service branch positions, identify manpower required and directs training activities to improve subordinate capabilities.
- Responsible for receiving and in-process inspection/testing activities.
- Maintain the records of the inspection/testing result.
RELEVANT INFORMATION.
- University Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum experience of 8years in heavy equipment maintenance out of which 2 years should be in a similar position.
- High degree of inter-personal and supervisory skills.
- Good written and spoken English/some Computer background.
