Program Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Leadership & Management
- Lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the program, ensuring all activities are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor detailed program work plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Manage the program budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial accountability in line with organizational policies and donor requirements.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that could impact program success.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate program staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the organization, implementing partners, local community groups, and government stakeholders.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Establish and utilize robust Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (ME&L) systems to track progress against key performance indicators and program goals.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and synthesis to inform program adjustments and ensure evidence-based decision-making.
- Prepare and submit timely, high-quality programmatic and financial reports to the Executive Director and donors, clearly communicating program impact and challenges.
Strategy & Growth
- Contribute to the development of new program proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
- Stay informed of best practices and current trends in to continuously improve program delivery.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of program management experience in the NGO/non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of project cycle management, M&E (Monitoring and Evaluation), and donor-funded projects.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, resources, and diverse teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.

- Experience working with international donors and funding agencies.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with diverse communities.
- Commitment to the values and mission of the NGO.
