Position Overview
- TAAS Group of Schools is seeking an experienced and passionate Civic Education / National Values / History / Government Teacher to join our academic team.
- The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and a proven track record of nurturing students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Civic Education, National Values, History, and Government in alignment with the school curriculum and national standards.
- Prepare engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching aids to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and strong moral values in students.
- Maintain discipline, encourage participation, and create an inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess students’ performance through tests, assignments, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school administrators to support students’ academic and social development.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities.
- Uphold the school’s vision, mission, and values.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Political Science, History, Social Studies, or related fields.
- 5 – 10 years teaching experience in Civic Education, National Values, History, and/or Government.
- Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or close to the Apata region for easy accessibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Familiarity with WAEC/NECO curricula is an added advantage.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
