Database Administrator
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software.
- Manage database objects, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Implement monitoring tools and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Design and manage RMAN-based backup and recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Respond to incidents and manage change requests per SLA.
- Maintain documentation, generate reports, and provide improvement recommendations.
- Support new DB projects, re-architecting, and implementation as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, AWR, ASH.
- Proficiency in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation.
- Solid understanding of security, backup/recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
