Database Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software.
  • Manage database objects, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Implement monitoring tools and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Design and manage RMAN-based backup and recovery strategies.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Respond to incidents and manage change requests per SLA.
  • Maintain documentation, generate reports, and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Support new DB projects, re-architecting, and implementation as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, AWR, ASH.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and automation.
  • Solid understanding of security, backup/recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
