Area Operations Manager

Job Summary:

  • You will have an overall leadership responsibility of the number of outlets allocated to your area by directly leading the outlet managers and ensuring each outlet is meeting its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achievement of sales and profit targets, projections for area outlets.
  • Accountable for the development and achievement of the annual business plan for each outlet in your area of coverage by working closely with each outlet manager, accounts, and other relevant departments.
  • Ensure that each outlet operates at the strategically accepted Gross Profit margin.
  • Enforce full compliance of your area outlets with production standards such as food quality, taste & specifications.
  • Directly oversee outlet managers within your area to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the restaurants with the aim of improving service standards and achieving a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensure outlet managers in your area clearly understand their job expectations, manage their performance, recommend appropriate training and development programs to bridge performance gaps, and adopt appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Enforce adequate training of new staff, personally oversee the operational & leadership training of Supervisors, ARMs, and Restaurant managers.
  • Ensure full compliance with operational policies across the outlets in your area, such as food presentation, new price updates, QA standard, product taste & specification, etc., and discipline any outlet management that does not comply with the set standard.
  • Liaise with the business development and brand marketing department on the implementation of ideas that will project your area of operations for more business.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field. 
  • 5–7 years’ experience managing multiple restaurant outlets. 
  • Strong knowledge of sales targets, profit margins, and business planning. 
  • Good understanding of food quality, taste, and operational standards. 
  • Proven leadership skills – able to train, guide, and discipline outlet managers and their teams. 
  • Able to drive excellent customer service across all outlets.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. 
  • Willing to travel between outlets and work flexible hours.
