Account Officer
Job Summary
We are seeking twodedicated Account Officers to join our finance team in Ikeja, Lagos. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting various accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Process and record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, and expense entries
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure all transactions are properly documented
- Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities
- Handle accounts receivable and payable processes
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures
Record Keeping and Reporting
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and receipts
- Generate financial reports as required by management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Monitor and track inventory accounting where applicable
Administrative Support
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
- Handle tax-related documentation and filings
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
- Supermarket or retail industry experience is a significant advantage
