Travel Sales Secretary
Responsibilities
Sales & Client Acquisition:
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities, generating leads and building a strong client base.
- Present and sell various travel products and services, including flights, accommodations, tour packages, cruises, travel insurance, and car rentals, to individual and group clients.
- Negotiate rates and packages with clients to close sales effectively.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service before, during, and after their travel.
- Handle client inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with clients on bookings, payments, and travel details.
Promotional Activities:
- Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials, brochures, and sales presentations.
- Participate in marketing campaigns and events to promote travel services.
- Manage Social Media pages.
Administrative Support:
- Manage and organize appointments, meetings, and schedules for the sales team and management.
- Prepare, type, and proofread travel proposals, contracts, invoices, reports, and other sales-related documents.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications (phone calls, emails) for the travel department, directing inquiries as appropriate.
Travel Logistics & Operations:
- Make and confirm reservations for flights, hotels, ground transportation, and other travel services.
- Issue travel documents, including tickets, vouchers, itineraries, and travel insurance policies.
- Process payments, manage billing, and reconcile accounts related to travel bookings.
- Assist clients with visa applications, passport requirements, and other necessary travel documentation.
Requirements
- Experience as a Travel Agent, Travel Sales Executive, administrative or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Adaptability and flexibility to handle
Qualifications
- OND/HND/BSc Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred with 1-3 years work experience.
