Electrical Rewinder
Job Summary
- We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Rewinder to join our team in the steel industry.
- As an Electrical Rewinder, you’ll be responsible for rewinding, repairing, and maintaining electrical motors, generators, and other electrical equipment used in steel production.
- Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of our electrical systems and minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Motor Rewinding: Rewind and repair electrical motors, including AC and DC motors, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Electrical Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including testing and inspection.
- Receive motors and dismantle them to diagnose faults.
- Remove burnt wires and clean the motors thoroughly both internally and externally.
- Assemble the motors after repair and test them before handing them over to the users.
- Proper records of Rewinded motors and material consumed in it.
- Maintaining stock register/book.
- Check whether the rewinding wires are of proper gauge/ quality and conform to the manufacturer’s specifications on the motors and other equipment to be rewound.
- Test all completed work and ensure results as per nameplate.
- Oversee the general cleanliness and neatness of the rewinding workshop.
- Ensure good housekeeping and maintain an accident-free working environment.
- Adhere to the safety, health and environment policy of the company.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to you by Supervisor – Electrical/ management from time to time.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
Work Environment:
- Steel manufacturing facility or electrical workshop.
- Potential exposure to industrial equipment and electrical hazards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in electrical rewinding and repair.
- Familiarity with electrical testing and measurement tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Certification in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience with electrical motor control systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
