Self Propelled Harvester (Valiant) Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Safety-Operate the SPH Machine in compliance with SHE Policies, SOPS and traffic rules.
- Promote a positive culture through daily inspections and risk assessments.
- Harvesting Operations – Harvest high-quality tea leaf in line with factory specifications and production targets.
- Manage assigned harvesting rounds to optimize crop cycles and field performance.
- Machine Operation & Care: Carry out daily pre-start and end-of-shift machine checks. Support basic fault identification, refuelling, and preventive maintenance in liaison with mechanics.
- Productivity& Efficiency: Ensure efficient machine utilization, fuel efficiency and reduced environment impact. GL Quality Delivery – knowledge of quality delivery and how it inter-links to deliver and sustain real business improvements.
- Continuous Improvement
- Use performance measures to identify and prioritize losses in harvesting. In conjunction with management, use routine improvements and problem analysis to trigger and track actions.
- Problem Solving -Identifies, prioritize and addresses problems using the full range of improvement tools and techniques that eliminate recurrence.
- Escalate and report any technical challenges to the mechanic and Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum Three years working experience in related field.
- Certificate in Plant Operations.
- Class B, C, D, E and G Driving Licence.
- SPH and Tractor driving experience.
