Trade Sales Executive
- Location: Upper Mountain (Meru, Embu &Environments)
- The Trade Sales Executive will be instrumental in driving sales and distribution of the Steam Energy Drink variants within the Upper Mountains territory. This role will focus on fostering relationships with distributors, improving market execution, and ensuring optimal product placement while collaborating with the marketing team to increase brand visibility and sales performance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Distributor Management:
- Collaborate with six distributors to ensure effective distribution in the territory. Manage and motivate a team of DSRs to achieve sales targets.
- Implement and oversee a wholesale loyalty program.
- Market Execution
- Conduct a complete sales cycle of the Upper Mountains territory bi-weekly.
- Improve the availability and visibility of Steam products in General Trade.
- Design and implement unique offers and promotions for the market.
- Collaboration and Reporting
- Work closely with the marketing department to align marketing activities with company standards. Coordinate new product launches and ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
- Submit regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Debt Collection and Coaching
- Ensure timely debt collection from customers.
- Provide practical coaching and route riding with DSRs to enhance sales techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or a related business field.
- Proven experience in modern trade sales within the FMCG sector, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Prior experience in the beverages sector is considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the country.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
