• Our client, a beautiful, eco-friendly lodge, is looking for a Senior Accountant to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting strategic decision-making. They will also verify the accuracy of financial data, ensuring it is analyzed and recorded in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate invoices, post payments, reconcile accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and issue customer statements and aging reports.
• Analyze creditworthiness, monitor aging reports, follow up on overdue accounts, and enforce credit control policies.
• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, update vendor records, reconcile statements, and ensure prompt payments.
• Manage tax filings, ensure timely remittances, stay informed on tax regulations, and support tax audits.
• Prepare financial statements, reconcile bank and ledger accounts, and manage cash flow.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure accounting compliance, and coordinate with auditors and regulators.

Qualifications:

• Must have a relevant bachelor’s in Finance or any other related field.
• Proficient in using financial software and tools.
• Hands on with integrity and interpersonal skills.
