Regional Sales Manager, Kenya West

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to serve as the primary link between PKL and its customers. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and leading a high-performing regional sales team to achieve volume, revenue, and market share targets. The role also involves coordination of personnel and material resources to deliver commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with overall business goals, driving both Primary and IMS sales performance.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the regional sales team, ensuring high performance and individual growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring satisfaction and long-term business growth.
  • Market Insights & Competitor Analysis
  • Analyze market dynamics, identify opportunities/threats, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Sales Performance Management
  • Monitor, review, and improve sales performance through data-driven decisions and corrective actions.
  • Budget & Financial Management
  • Manage regional budgets effectively, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and operations teams to drive business alignment and customer value.
  • Distributor Management
  • Oversee distributor performance and alignment with company sales targets.
  • Route to Market Excellence
  • Design and implement optimized route-to-market strategies for maximum product availability and reach.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive sales experience in FMCG, with at least 3 years in a regional leadership role.
  • Experience in the Kenya West Region is a MUST
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver against commercial targets.
  • Strong understanding of route-to-market strategies, distributor management, and trade dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills.
